Originally written to preserve family recipes before they were lost, Mom’s Best contained over 200 recipes, and family and friends were given copy-shop versions. More than 25 years later, we’ve updated it with our new favorite recipes (nearly 200!) to use as a fundraiser to help our aging parents.
Now over 400 recipes from four generations, with family stories, tips, and recipe insights. Come join our family table!
After the fall of electronic bulletin boards and before the rise of social media, people with shared interests often did so through e-mail lists. I ran lists about cooking and recipes. Sometimes I ran special recipe swaps.
This cookbook contains every recipe shared in the very first summer recipe swap by nearly 80 contributors…a bounty of grilling recipes, cool desserts, refreshing salads…and more!
Like The Art of Summer Cooking, this cookbook is a collection of cookie recipes contributed by members of my mailing lists. Our first holiday swap netted over 50 cookie recipes from over 30 enthusiastic bakers from across the United States and Canada. Drop cookies, rolled cookies, cookie press cookies, bar cookies, and even unbaked cookies! Try some for your family’s cookie jar!
Take your holiday stress level down a notch or three by making side dishes ahead. Use those little pockets of time before and during the holiday season to make The Big Day one you can enjoy along with your guests.
Make the freezer your new best friend during the holidays…or any time of year!
